Course info
In this course you will learn how to paint realistic figures, whether with pencils, acrylics or oils. We will look at proportion, shadow, light and shading to add depth and dimension to your figures.
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their skills in figurative painting. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist, you will learn how to bring realistic figures to life with colours and techniques in this course.
I will show you how to work with different materials and which techniques are best to create realistic figures. You will learn how to use shadows and lighting effects to give your figures more depth and personality.

No previous experience required
No previous experience required for this course. If you’ve never painted before, that’s no problem! We will go through the basics of painting step by step and you will progress quickly.
Required materials
You are welcome to bring your own material if you already have it. If not, you can use the available material for a small contribution towards costs. Brushes, easels and paints are provided for you.
If you need canvases, you can get them from me for a small extra charge. If you already have your own canvases, you are of course welcome to bring them along.
I recommend you wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, as painting is often a bit messy. Everything else you need for the course is provided.
Costs
Per course day CHF 80 (3 hours) Painting material optional.
Painting materials CHF 10 (paints, brushes, etc. without canvases)
